In the era of evidence-based medicine, where meta-analyses and randomized clinical trials occupy the pinnacle of the scientific hierarchy, the case report is often unfairly relegated to a more modest rung. However, in the discipline of Gynecology and Obstetrics—a field where the biological individuality of the mother and fetus uniquely converge—the clinical case is not only the starting point of scientific curiosity, but also the guardian of patient safety.
